YouTube Gaming
Google has announced YouTube Gaming, a new website and app dedicated to video games that aims to connect users to the games and its community and culture. (Yes, it’s a direct competitor to Twitch.)

More than 25,000 games will have its own dedicated pages on YouTube Gaming, each featuring videos and live streams related to that title. You’ll be able to add games to your “Collection” to keep up to date on that title’s latest videos.

Of course, you can also subscribe to channels from game publishers and independent YouTube creators, and YouTube will offer new recommendations based on your subscriptions.

Live streams are YouTube Gaming’s biggest feature, however. It’s the first thing you’ll see when launching the website or app. Live streams offer high frame rate streaming at 60 frames per second, a DVR function, and it will automatically convert your live stream to a YouTube video. Live streams won’t need to be scheduled ahead of time, and you’ll be able to share a link to all of your streams.

YouTube Gaming will be accessible at gaming.youtube.com. Its official Twitter account can be access @YouTubeGaming.
